Description
Very hard-to-find black bottom RumRill vase identified as #511 from the RumRill Ohio pottery book. This piece stands 9.5" high. It is in the Neptune finish which is a shiny turquoise, cream, and tan hand-applied finish with a soft pink interior. The piece is in very good to excellent condition and does not have any chips, hairlines, cracks or repairs that can be seen when the piece is displayed. There is a fair amount of crazing as you can see in the photographs, and some glaze pops. The very bottom of the vase has a 1/2" shallow chip (photographed), but you will not see this when the piece is upright. There is a fair amount of glaze "globbing" on the bottom as well which was often the case with these hand-applied finishes. This is being mentioned for accuracy only to the discriminating collector.
