    I’m listing a circulated
    Government of India One Rupee (Rs1) Banknote, dated 1963
    . This paper currency note was signed by L. K. Jha, Secretary, Ministry of Finance. Issued by the Reserve Bank of India, the note obverse features the Ashoka Pillar watermark in the left panel with a depiction of a One Rupee Coin on the right. The reverse side of the bill delineates 1 Rupee in Hindu and twelve other native Indian languages in the center panel with the back design of the coin to the left.  Pick# 76a
    The note shown in the photos is the exact one you will receive. This is a circulated note with light fold marks, but no tears or pinholes, and it is in overall excellent condition (the staple holes are normal from date of issue). Since I am not an expert in grading paper money, please examine the photos carefully and make your own judgement on the condition.
    I obtained this note as a teenager in the mid-1960’s and it has been stored in my smoke, animal and kid-free home ever since moving out of my parent’s house.
