    Description

    VINTAGE RED WING STONEWARE 2 GALLON ZINK GLAZE CROCK

    The wing is measured from the left side to the right tip of the wing.  This crock has a 4" wing. That would put it between about pre 1916 to about 1929. In 1930 they went to the 2" wing. They changed their oval to Red Wing Potteries in 1936, while retaining the 2" wing. These dates are approximate as Red Wing did not publish them. Serious collectors scoured early magazines for their advertisements of stoneware, examined early photographs, etc.
    NO CRACKS but a couple of factory  dings and a small chip at bottom edge as shown.
    Shows a little darkness  on one side not uncommon for these old crocks
