    Description

    Beautiful Stone Mason Fruit Jar from Union Stoneware Co., Red Wing, MN.  This is the half gallon size.  It  measures 8 1/2" tall.  Base is 5 3/4" diameter.  Bottom is marked Pat Jan 24,1899.  Excellent condition, no hairlines or chips.  There is a short surface crack in the top lip that is a manufacturing flaw, created in the firing process, it does not go through and through.  And it does not affect the threading, the lid still screws on tightly.  See close up photo.
