    Description

    The MR50 1.35V mercury battery was used a lot in cameras and some quartz clock movements. However, the
    MR50 battery was discontinued ,and are no longer made because it contained mercury which is a hazardous heavy metal.  The MR50 adapter was designed to allow a SR44  1.5V silver oxide button battery to be used in place of the MR50 mercury battery.  The MR50 adapter is shaped exactly as the old MR50 battery, and the SR44 button  battery fits inside of the adapter,  The MR50 adapter has a built in voltage regulator that reduces the1.5V output of the SR44 to 1.35V which was the voltage output of the MR50.  Item ships via USPS Priority Mail.
