    Up for auction is a Rare RED WING POTTERY COLLECTION SOCIETY (R.W.C.S.) BEIGE GOPHER CHAPTER 1990 COMMEMORATIVE GOPHER ON A STUMP STAMPED AND NUMBERED! I have rarely seen this color..possible prototype? This stoneware toothpick holder is in Excellent vintage condition ~ No cracks, repairs or chips..some soilage..especially on the base..all consistent with its age. The sides are nicely stamped~ one side has the significance of the incised stamp with the giant gopher taking a bite out of the arrowhead region of Minnesota and the other side has "GOPHERS 1990 R.W.C.S" with the bottom nicely marked, "Artists in the park Deer Park, WI 54007", an artist/painter form and the number "6".
