  • Condition: The teapot is in excellent lightly used condition and has been in my collection for more than 30-years. I'm a perfectionist/realist so I'm calling out every little thing! The cover fits a bit loosely. As with any old pottery, there are factory defects: A glazed over pinhole or two, nick, small line indent on the spout (see photo 6) a light stain on the inside and a scratch or two. There is also an area on the unglazed underside of rim of the cover (see photo 5) where a bit of the glaze and clay stuck to the rim. Everything except maybe the two scratches are from the factory! The dusk blue color of the pot is even and beautiful (but an area on the cover is a bit lighter on one side). THE BLUE COLOR IS CONSIDERABLY DARKER THAN WHAT MY PHOTOS SHOW!

    Dusk Blue
    "Town & Country" Pattern
    Pottery Teapot.
    This Pattern Was made Circa 1947- 1954.
    Condition:

    Size:
    The pot is about 5 1/4" Tall, 6 1/2" in diameter and measures 11 1/2" from the tip of the spout to the tip of the handle.
    Description:
    Red Wings "Town & Country" pattern was designed by the renowned designer Eve Zeisel in about 1946.
    The contemporary shape was quite a departure from the normal 1940's dinnerware lines and proved to be very popular back then and is still in great demand today.
    The pattern came in several colors - Dusk Blue, Chartreuse, Sand, Metallic, Forest Green, Gray, Rust, Peach and White.
    Please see my photos for the shape and colors (some colors are nearly impossible to photograph accurately, so all of the colors of the pieces in my photos may not be completely accurate).
    Also, colors vary fairly widely depending on when they were made and what batch they came from - it's virtually impossible to complete a set that matches exactly.
    Terms of sale:
    All my items are from my 45-year collection and are in excellent (As Described) condition.  They were all purchased at Estate Auctions/Sales.  I never go to thrift sales or buy junk!
