  • Condition: The jug has the usual factory flaws: There is a 3/4" x 5/8" chip that runs from the top down about 3/4" (The chip was glued back in place very precisely. I'm not sure if this was done at the factory or the previous owner (see photos 6 & 7 close-up) - you can barely feel the edges. There are some factory imperfections on the bottom outside edge and the usual dents and runny glaze on other areas (these are all shown in my photos - many close-up).I've collected Red Wing Stoneware & China for 45-years (I live only 70 miles away from Red Wing), and this is the first One Quart Size Jug that I've ever seen - The markings on the bottom are the sharpest that I've ever seen!

    Note:  This is the first one quart shoulder jug that I've ever seen (from any of the Red Wing company's production).  I live only 70 miles from Red Wing and I've collected Red Wing Stoneware for 45-years. The sharp bottom markings:  Minn.S. Co., Red Wing Minn., greatly intensifies the rareness of the piece.
