RumRill Rum Rill Light Turquoise Wide Mouth Pitcher Vase Reversed R mark Shawnee

Description

This exceptional pitcher vase bears the very early deeply incised Shawnee-RumRill reversed R mark on the bottom. These hard-to-find early Ohio art pottery pieces are so very rare.  Production was limited to less than 6 months for these Shawnee-made pieces.
The finish is a very soft light green turquoise called Seaspray Green.  This wide mouthed I-2 pitcher stands 10" tall. It is excellent condition and does not have any chips, hairlines, cracks or repairs. However, the edge of the bottom is a little crude which is commons for these early factory-made vases (see close up).
